It's not often that pure pop songs find their way onto the pages of MyDadRocks. We're more about a healthy dose of indie, a great new rock band, returning legends or just something a little different. But that's because most pop is pieced together by major labels looking to make a quick buck off their identikit artists. In this case, the artist is doing it the hard way - independently.

Inspired by the likes of Jessie J, Tayla Blue is an 18 year old with real talent. She can sing, write, and even rap to a standard beyond her years. The bubblegum aspect might not be to everyone's taste - and some of the lyrics are a little clumsy - but for a young woman who is learning her trade, this is genuinely impressive.

The chorus is catchy, the production good, and the message relatable. All she's trying to do is have a little bit of fun. And what's wrong with that?
